An Immediate Immersion workshop or webinar is a great way to bring professional development to you!
Whether it be a department or district in-service or you’d like to organize a local workshop in your area, Immediate Immersion has a lot of options to provide just the right professional-development opportunity for you and your colleagues.
Select from any of our tried-and-true presentations and workshops or have us customize one specifically tailored to your needs. We offer half-day, full-day, and multiple-day workshops on a multitude of assessment, grading, classroom management, TPRS®, and other comprehensible-input topics to truly bring your teaching to the next level.
Looking for online training? Immediate Immersion also offers pre-recorded and custom webinars. An Immediate Immersion webinar is an online presentation or workshop that is accessible anywhere there is an internet connection. Generally, if you can watch a YouTube® video, you’re good to go!
Participating in an Immediate Immersion webinar is much like attending any other presentation or workshop. You will be able to listen to and see the presenter, view the presentation, ask questions, and obtain handouts all from the comfort of your closest internet-connected computer!
What makes webinars great is that people from all across the world can participate in the same workshop at the same time for a fraction of the cost of a traditional workshop or presentation. There are no transportation or lodging expenses, you don’t have to eat out, you don’t have to use your gas. You can sit back in the comfort of your office or living room and participate in a great presentation.
All of our presentations, workshops, and webinars come with a certification of completion upon request showing the number of contact hours you spent in training as well as offer the opportunity to earn follow-up, graduate-level credits from the University of the Pacific/Benerd College for an additional fee.

Immediate Immersion
Workshop
Available as a 1-day, 2-day, or 3-day workshop, this workshop covers all of the basics of CI instruction.
You’ll learn a little about theory and then get right into how to present language via songs, conversations, and reading to get your students immersed in the language.
With 2- and 3-day sessions, we will cover additional topics like MovieTalk, Embedded Readings, lesson planning, and include hands-on practice time.
Proficiency-based Grading Workshop
Also available as a 1-day, 2-day, or 3-day workshop, this workshop covers the basics of proficiency-based grading.
You’ll learn a little about the background of proficiency-based grading, how to set up your grade book for maximum efficiency and feedback, and how to create effective assessments that assess the skills and modes of communication.
Additional days allow for more in-depth assessment discussion and how to tweak current assessments to make them more proficiency-based.
Immediate Immersion
Webversity Course
The Immediate Immersion Webversity Course is an extensive online course starting in August and ending in May each year.
This course covers everything from classroom setup, classroom management, basic CI techniques & strategies, a multitude of CI activities including MovieTalk and Embedded Readings, how to teach culture, and proficiency-based grading and assessment.
It consists of 30 pre-recorded classes and 10 LIVE Q&A/Debrief sessions and is the most comprehensive CI training available today.
In-service Workshop
Interested in bringing Scott in either in-person or virtually for some Immediate Immersion professional development?
Scott can either present one of the topics above or create a completely customized workshop that meets your specific needs.
The cost of a sponsored workshop is a flat rate of $2000 per day and includes all travel expenses or $600 per day for online webinars.
Fractions of days are charged at the per-day rate.
Districts may offer free registration to their members or charge a fee at their discretion to offset the cost of the workshop.

Local Workshop
Interested in having Immediate Immersion host a workshop in your city?
We can do that!
As the local coordinator your responsibilities would be…
To coordinate local advertising of workshop (distributing flyers and inviting local area schools and teachers)
To assist in obtaining a local venue with LCD projector, screen, and speakers
To ensure a minimum of 10 paying participants
To provide morning and afternoon refreshments (will be reimbursed within 10 days of workshop)
To help coordinate local transportation and lodging for the presenter
In order for a local workshop to be held, a minimum of 10 paying participants must be registered.
In return for being a local host, your registration fees will be waived. If your school is willing to provide the venue for the workshop, we will waive all registration fees for the school staff/faculty.
Registration fees for local Immediate Immersion workshops are as follows:
1-day workshop: $177 per person
2-day workshop: $277 per person
3-day workshop: $377 per person
**$30 additional fee for registrations less than 1 month in advance.
