Our Story.

Immediate Immersion started back in 2008 as teachforjune Workshops.

We have been training teachers through workshops, webinars, and conferences ever since.

In 2013, we started to offer our Immediate Immersion curriculum in Spanish and in 2017 added French.

And in 2018, we created the first annual, totally online comprehensible-input conference, COMPREHENDED!

Immediate Immersion is committed to teachers and is committed to bringing comprehensible-based instruction to classrooms everywhere.

Hi, I'm Scott!

I've been navigating the seas of teaching for more than two decades.

My passion?

Bringing languages to life for our students in middle and high school.

I'm a staunch advocate for comprehension-based teaching.

It's more than just language instruction – it's about making that 'aha' moment happen.

My go-to tool? Comprehensible Input.

Think of it as the magic key that unlocks fluent, confident communication.

But the journey doesn't stop there. I'm also immersed in the world of proficiency-based grading and assessments, classroom management, and student engagement.

Since 2008, my mission has been to collaborate with teachers and districts to spread the word about comprehension-based strategies.

Presenting workshops has been an incredible journey, where I learn as much from other teachers as they do from me.

I'm an educator like you, surfing the waves of this humbling profession, savoring every small triumph in the classroom, and always eager to learn.
